Hoping to finally make a house sale, Bandit is parked outside the Heeler’s home, pretending to be a real estate agent. Chilli, the potential customer, is given a tour of the house; however, the tour is interrupted by the current homeowners, Janet and Rita, also known as The Grannies, played by Bluey and Bingo.
It turns out the Grannies are unwilling to part with their beloved home and are determined to sabotage the real estate agent’s efforts to sell it. After several failed attempts, the homeowners resort to extreme measures to scare off potential buyers. Bingo pretends to haunt the house as a ghostly figure in a washing basket who makes spooky noises. Can Janet, Rita and the real estate agent find a way to overcome the sale of the house, and will the truth behind the fake ghost be discovered?
I must admit, every time The Grannies appear on Bluey, I know we’re in for a treat. They bring a lot of silliness and unexpected behaviour to the show. Once again, the Heeler family embraces fun by using their imagination and role-playing, especially Bandit and Chilli. Ghostbasket, like many Bluey episodes, has several references to past episodes and jokes that are bound to bring a smile to long-term fans. For instance, fans will enjoy spotting a famous sticky gecko in the Heeler home hallway or discovering that the only items on Lucky’s Dad’s clothesline are both a Maroon and Blue State of Origin shirt.
Overall, the episode’s ending is quite surprising and has left fans feeling a mix of emotions, including shock and excitement. It is now confirmed that significant changes are coming to The Heeler family and their future. As always, I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what happens next.
